On May 7th, 2022, after 88 years Rachel was relieved of her burdensome body to soar with the spirits of heaven. She joins her loved ones: husband Dan, parents Joseph and Viola, siblings Jack, Joe, Roger, Joann Niesen and Mary Ellen Peters, son Mark, daughter-in-law Jan, and grandson Jason. Mourning her passing are children, Rick (DeDe), Stan, Denise (Jerry) Beilke, daughter-in-law Sharon and many other relatives and friends. She was the proprietor of a long time Cudahy business - Rachel & Dan's. Her mischievous nature created a casual, fun atmosphere that attracted many. Rachel’s generous spirit dictated that people “between homes” during the holidays found a place at her table. Kindness was just one of the many reasons she enjoyed solid and abiding friendships even through her last days. She eventually retired with Dan to a newly built home in Eagle River on a private, peaceful lake. She enjoyed the beautiful Northwoods, reconnected with her faith and added to her long list of friends. Rachel might have preferred to slip away unnoticed, but she won’t go without a fitting farewell. Friends and family will gather to celebrate her life on June 25th, 2022 at Joe's K Ranch in Cudahy, 4840 S. Whitnall Ave., Cudahy. Visitation will begin at 1 pm with a short service at 2 pm. For remote viewing, the service will be posted after June 28 on YouTube as Rachel Kuharske Service.
