June Kukor Obituary

June D. Kukor passed away peacefully at home on March 25th, 202 at the age of 97 with her loving son Darrel by her side. Darrel was a loving caregiver to June for the last 6 years. June was born May 27th, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised in Chicago by her loving parents, late Edward Steinhauser and late Amanda Millis. June was married to the late Rudy Kukor for 34 years. They lived in Cudahy, Wisconsin where they raised their 3 children, Randy, Darrel, and Nancy Kukor. June was a Cudahy resident for over 73 years. She was a loving grandmother to Amanda(Chris) Senne, Nicole(Ron) Davitz, and Eric(Stefanie) Kukor. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Michaela, J.J., R.J., Cameron, and Darron. She was a loving sister to late Vernon(Lillian) Steinhauser. June cared for all her nieces and nephews. Late Rollie(Peg) Steinhauser, Phyllis(late Tom) Collins, and Gary(Trudy) Steinhauser, along with many great nieces and nephews. June had many friends that she held dear to her heart. June Graduated in 1941 from Lindbom High School. As a young woman she worked at Harper-Wyman Company in Chicago Illinois during World War II. June was one of the first women to belong to the Milwaukee Rifle Association and was an active member for many years. June worked for Allen Bradley for many years which eventually became C-Graphics in Oak Creek, WI as an office clerk. June belonged to Tops for over 45 years. She was still a member when she passed away. She loved being a part of this group, enjoying trips, dinners, picnics, holiday gatherings, and many other events and celebrations. She loved all the ladies she was in the group with very much. June belonged to St. Marks Church in Cudahy, WI. for over 65 years. She was the church treasurer for 38 years. She was a very active member volunteering for many events and belonged to many groups. She built many friendships there. June loved her pets. Over the years she had many dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, and other animals. June loved the outdoors. She vacationed in Rheinlander at the family cottage most of her life. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and anything else she could do outside. June had a huge sense of humor and an even bigger heart. She was loved by many and she loved everybody. She will be missed by all. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sureddi and Nurse Amy for all the love and care for June. Private services were held.
