Irene (Velazquez) Balke

Irene (Velazquez) Balke, age 60, passed away in the early morning of Friday May 4th, 2018 in Cudahy, Wisconsin. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 27th, 1957 to Gabriela and Pedro Velazquez. She dedicated her life to helping families and children in need through social work and fostering and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Roger; her daughter, Marsha (Patrick); sons, Roger Jr. and Pedro; grandchildren, Faith, Walter, Caspian, Ronan, and Braden; brothers, Jesus, Cruz, Angel, Hermin; sisters, Lucy, Anna, Maria, Elva, and Antonia; as well as a large extended family. She will also live on in the lives of the people she touched, including Valoree (Matt) and her family. She is preceded in death by her daughter Helen; grandson Malik; and brothers Pedro Jr. and Antonio.
