Cynthia Kay Laursen Lee (Oct. 5, 1961-July 6, 2018. Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and dedicated Green Bay Packer fan went to be with her Savior after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Cindy graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1979 and received her degree in Developmental Education from the UW Madison in 1983. She married William Lee on September 11, 1993. Cindy was passionate about everything she did. She loved life and she loved her boys—Jacob and Joel as well as her husband Will. She was a strong advocate of raising awareness for mental health and encouraged everyone to live life the best they could. She was a volunteer at NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness) and area food banks. Cindy is predeceased by her grandparents, father, John W. Laursen, father-in-law, William Lee and nephew, Joshua Esselman. Survived by husband, Will (Kenosha), sons, Jacob (Maddie Rohde) and Joel, 3 cats, mother, Nancy Laursen, mother and stepfather-in-laws: Linda & Phil Sparks, sisters: Gay (Tim) Jack, Kathy Esselman, Sue (Paul) Yee and brother: John Laursen Jr., Brother and sister-in-laws: Mike & Darla Lee, Nathan & Alyssa Sparks and many nieces and nephews—ALL LOVED BY CINDY.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Cindy on Friday, August 3rd at the Beloit Rotary River Center (1160 Riverside Drive, Beloit, WI) at 2:00 p.m. Casual dress would be appreciated.
